On June 23, 2018, he tweeted on Twitter and posted on Instagram, the announcement about the August release, and also shared a picture taken with Nas and A$AP Ferg at the Valentino SS19 Fashion Show in Paris, France. Per media reports, Rapper Nas was one of Keith Ape's inspirations for getting into the rap game years ago (with the 20th-anniversary re-release of "Illmatic"), and he's worked with A$AP Ferg in the past, for the remix of "It G Ma," which the original version, was controversial when it dropped back in 2015, because of its likeness to OG Maco's "U Guessed It....
