South Korean rapper Ahn Byeong Woong down for the "Ride" in visual for new song

Rapper Ahn Byeong Woong gets driven around to work projects in the visual for his new song "Ride." The South Korean artist dropped the official music video for his melodic track on July 14. The single hit streaming sites on July 10 under label WAVY. It's a pre-release track off his upcoming EP due out on July 24. Check it out below.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons).   Looking for a new summer jam? Check out DJ SHAUN's electric dance track, "Thinking Of" featuring rapper OVAN and singer SUMIN. The single is the title track off his first solo mini album, "TAKE." The vocal EDM artist is known for his skill with synthesizers, and is a member of the South Korean indie rock band, The KOXX (which formed in 2009). SHAUN's EP dropped on June 27, along with a music video for "Thinking Of (생각나)." The mv features two beautiful women enjoying themselves at the beach and elsewhere, and also includes OVAN on the mic. Jay Park Adds and Interacts With Fans on Instagram Live Before Hawaii Concert

Social media is allowing fans and artists to interact with each other like never before. While in a room in Hawaii, on Sunday, April 1, singer/rapper/co-CEO Jay Park, discovered a feature during his Instagram Live stream, which allowed him to add and connect with fans, for 'one on one' time, but in front of thousands of people peering in. Jay Park was in Hawaii for a concert, with Hoody and pH-1 happening later that night.  At almost five minutes into his livestream, we hear the Roc Nation artist say, "I've never done this before." South Korean artist ZICO has released another visual off his first solo album "Thinking, Pt. 1." The rapper/singer dropped the official music video for "Extreme" on October 2. It's just the latest visual since the release of part one of the LP, and after starting his own label - KOZ Entertainment. The videos for "Daredevil" (feat. Jvcki Wai & YUMDDA) and "Human" hit YouTube on September 30, the day of the drop for part one of the album. A standout on "Thinking" is the song "One-man Show," featuring H1GHR MUSIC rapper Sik-K. A must see in the Southeast: Lexington's Roots and Heritage Festival returns after a two-year hiatus

From delicious foods and marching bands, to an appearance from members of the University of Kentucky women's basketball team, the City of Lexington, KY saw the return of its annual Roots and Heritage Festival the weekend of September 9th-11th.  The festival was voted as one of the "Top Twenty Events in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society, according to organizers, and it's been going strong for more than 30 years. The event had been put on hold for two years because of the coronavirus pandemic. The festival this year, included nightly live music performances, its iconic Saturday parade and plenty of food and clothing vendors. The annual event celebrates Lexington's rich diversity, traditions, African-American culture and community spirit.  The festival also showcases the rich talent from Louisville's Central High School Marching band, which has been making a parade appearance for years.
