Souljah Bless Keeps the Party Moving in New Song - "Rock Away"

Conscious Mind Records' rapper Souljah Bless has returned with a new summer island vibe. The artist dropped his new song "Rock Away" on June 1st. The party single, produced by J Hostyle, follows the April collaboration release of "CMRLIFE II," with labelmates T,  Jawaan Larue and Henny Skywalker. Check out the new song below.

South Korean rapper Coogie drops new single as contract with AOMG expires

South Korean artist Coogie dropped his new single "1,2,3,4,5" on January 23, 2025--the same day record label AOMG announced its exclusive contract with the rapper had come to an end. Coogie signed with AOMG in 2022.  He was previously signed under hip-hop label ATMseoul. He became known for his sing-song melodic rap style after participating in the South Korean rap competition series Show Me The Money 777 in 2018.  The translation to AOMG's post on X reads... "Hello, this is AOMG. We would like to inform you that Coogie's exclusive contract has ended on January 23, 2025. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have shown much support and interest in Coogie and his wonderful activities that have made AOMG shine for a long time. Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos. U.S. soldiers evacuated her via "Operation Babylift" ... on the LAST flight out." New Music: A.CHAL - "Numb The Pain"

Peruvian-American singer A.CHAL (Alejandro Chal Salazar) is working through his emotions in his new single "Numb The Pain". The artist dropped his new song and the official music video for it on October 13.  On social media A.CHAL says the visual was shot in Huanchaco, Trujillo, Peru. He says as a child he remembers living there on the sand in a small hut. The singer says the song itself was recorded in Paris. NEW MUSIC: Jason Derulo - "2Sides" EP (Side 1 of his Album Project)

In a release that sounds like a celebration of music-- singer Jason Derulo is getting bodies moving with the drop of his new EP - "2Sides (Side 1)." The American artist released his mini-album on November 8th.  "2Sides (Side 1)" is the first of two parts. Part two is due out in 2020. The complete project will be his fifth studio album. Part one is a mixed brew of genres; with vibes of dance, R&B, melodic hip-hop, dancehall/calypso and pop-- along with the tunes of trumpets in its lead single - "F It Up." YG singer-songwriter Joe Rhee, has made his solo artist debut as Vince, for THE BLACK LABEL, a South Korean record label and a subsidiary of YG Entertainment. Kpop group ENHYPEN earns new fans with American television "Loose" debut performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live

On the night of Thursday, April 10, South Korean boy band ENHYPEN hit the stage on ABC's  Jimmy Kimmel Live with body rolls and screaming young kpop fans in the studio audience, as they performed their new English language single "Loose," for their American television debut. The performance left an impression on the television viewing audience across the country, with at least one viewer calling into an ABC local news station in Kentucky well after midnight, inquiring about the name of the group.  The excited viewer asked the morning show news producer who picked up the phone, questions about where to find information about ENHYPEN, and where exactly the group was from.  After the producer explained the kpop genre to the viewer, and shared information on how to find the performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube channel, the caller then encouraged the producer to watch the performance herself, in which she later did, thus becoming a new fan of the group as well. ...

Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

On Sept. 10, he revealed that the actress portraying ECÂF in the music video and on Twitter, is named Tatiana. And the person who sings the vocals for her single release, "Pictures," is actually Ruel's sister Coco. Original Post (08/11/19) ... NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. NEW MUSIC: Coogie's second EP - "EMO #1"

South Korean rapper Coogie is in his feels with his second EP, "EMO #1." The artist (and former Show Me the Money 777 contestant) from Yelowsmob crew and label MILLION MARKET (with ATMseoul), dropped his latest mini album on December 7th. This follows his debut self-titled EP, which dropped on May 18, under ATMseoul, before the merger with MILLION MARKET. The new seven-track EP, includes the smooth vocals of international R&B/hip-hop singer/rapper Jay Park - featured on the song "Justin Bieber." The visual for it, was also uploaded on December 7th, under SM Entertainment's YouTube channel. MILLION MARKET now falls under the SM Entertainment umbrella group. SM is currently one of the largest entertainment companies in Korea. Jay Park Performs English Version of "Yacht" For "24 Hours of Reality"

Jay Park has premiered the full English version of his song "Yacht." The singer performed it for the first time on Dec. 5, on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's "24 Hours of Reality." The program streams live every year scientists, business leaders and celebrities talking about "the climate crisis." This is the second year, for Jay Park to lend his voice and talent to the program.
