China Mac Announces Rap Challenge after Dropping New Single "H.E.R" prod. by Little Vic

After previously pulling his music catalog from streaming sites, rapper China Mac is back on Spotify and Apple Music with a new single about hip-hop. The Brooklyn, New York artist, who's also the host of Mac Eats on YouTube, dropped his Little Vic produced song "H.E.R" on September 7. 

After the release of "H.E.R," China Mac asked fans to join him in a rap challenge in creating their own lyrics to the beat of the track. He says the prize will be $1,000 and a feature, but the deadline to enter is September 18. Check out the new music below.

South Korean rapper Coogie drops new single as contract with AOMG expires

South Korean artist Coogie dropped his new single "1,2,3,4,5" on January 23, 2025--the same day record label AOMG announced its exclusive contract with the rapper had come to an end. Coogie signed with AOMG in 2022.  He was previously signed under hip-hop label ATMseoul. He became known for his sing-song melodic rap style after participating in the South Korean rap competition series Show Me The Money 777 in 2018.  The translation to AOMG's post on X reads... Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Dance Moves of The Day: Insun Lee From PREPIX STUDIO

When you got it, you got it, and dance instructor Insun Lee, has it.    Lee is an instructor with Prepix Studio in South Korea. Prepix has worked on a number of dance projects and videos with entertainer Jay Park.  On its Instagram page, on Sunday, January 14, Prepix posted one of the most recent choreography videos from Lee, promoting his classes there, which take place on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. I n the video,  Lee delivers a smooth routine to   Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" , and in the end he even gives us a bboy spin. Central Cee drops debut album "Can't Rush Greatness"

After a decade in the game, London rapper Central Cee has returned with his debut album "Can't Rush Greatness." His 17-track release hit streaming sites on January 24 with fast flowing lyrics of reflection, introspection and flexes.  Features on the project include Young Miko, 21 Savage, Dave, Lil Durk and Lil Baby.  The album follows the success of his mixtapes "Wild West" in 2021 and "23" in 2022. The 26-year-old UK Drill artist has been recording music since 2015.

Jay Park to drop new R&B album in October

Singer Jay Park has announced on social media his plans to release a new R&B album next month. The Seattle to Seoul artist says the project will be out on October 8th, his first in eight years. His previous R&B album "Everything You Wanted" dropped on October 20, 2016. On his recent social media post, Park also joked about deleting his Instagram Account and said there will be a tour in 2025. He deleted his previous IG account in 2022. Mary J. Blige Returns with "Good Morning Gorgeous" and "Amazing"

The queen of R&B is back with two new singles. Ahead of a February album drop, singer Mary J. Blige released "Good Morning Gorgeous" with a visual, and "Amazing," featuring DJ Khaled on December 3. The first, "Good Morning Gorgeous" is a track of self-empowerment, self-reflection and self-love, connecting with everyone moving forward after the hurt, stress and pains of life--the single reminiscent of the vibe from Blige's 1994 "My Life" album.
