The vibe is a bit more laid-back and groovy, on H1GHR MUSIC's second compilation album, "H1GHR : BLUE TAPE," which hit streaming sites on September 16. The first track, "Champagne Diet," sets it off with a smooth bounce featuring label CEO Jay Park, rapper 28AV, Gemini and pH-1. The entire project is easy listening, and more melodic than the popular first compilation drop, "H1GHR : RED TAPE," which rolled out on September 2, with a head banger of a song titled- "The Purge."
On "H1GHR : BLUE TAPE" one of the younger labelmates, rapper BIG Naughty gets a Woogie produced track to himself on "LIVE." Singer Golden also goes solo on "Selfish," and fans get a feature on "Last Song," from up-and-coming Korean-American artist AUDREY NUNA, who recently dropped her own hot single "damn Right" on September 10.
The label's Seattle producer Cha Cha Malone and singer Phe REDS make an appearance on the self-produced track "Swing My Way." The album ends with a "Toast," featuring soulful vocals from Golden, and lyrics from Jay Park, pH-1 and Sik-K, who is now serving in the South Korean military.
Thus far, the project includes two official music videos; "Gotta Go" and "Oscar ." Check out the visuals below.
