Justin Timberlake Expands "The Man of the Woods" Tour - Adds More Cities

Just one day after his Super Bowl halftime show performance in Minneapolis, and after the recent release of a new album, Justin Timberlake has announced that he has added European dates and more stops in North America to his The Man Of The Woods Tour.

The extra dates come after an already sold out first leg for his shows. Timberlake will tour Europe after the first North America stops, then will tour North America again in the fall, and again in January 2019.

The European part of the tour will kick off on June 22 in Paris and there will be 16 stops, including London, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Berlin.

The Man of The Woods Tour has already sold over 450,000 tickets. Pre-sale tickets for the new dates begin to go on sale starting on February 7.  Go to the singer's official website, justintimberlake.com for more. The fall leg for U.S. and Canada, will kick off on September 19 in Lexington, KY at Rupp Arena.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). South Korean rapper The Quiett rides out in a Bentley in final 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS release - "BENTLEY 2"

With his laid-back 90s rap flow and braggadocious lyrics, rapper The Quiett is one of the smoothest artists in hip-hop. He is also the co-founder, with rapper Dok2, of one of the most influential record companies in South Korea. Both are part of a group of legends responsible for putting South Korean hip-hop on the map. Their label - 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, was established in January 2011. They added rapper Beenzino later that year. In 2016, the two established a second label, of younger up-and-coming artists called Ambition Musik. The co-CEOs also toured the United States in 2016, and in 2017, putting on great high energy performances. INLet'sGo! caught their 2016 stop in Atlanta.  On November 11, 2020, The Quiett dropped his last double single under 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, marking the last 1LLIONAIRE DAY (of new music drops), and the final project for the company. South African singer-songwriter Tyla is one of the hottest rising stars of 2023. She's currently taking over social media with her TikTok viral dance challenge from her latest single- “Water.” The song hit streaming sites in July. The official music video arrived on YouTube on October 6. It's currently (as of this writing) trending #26 on the site with nearly 13 million views.  According to Billboard, “Water” has also climbed to #1 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart, dated Oct. 21-- stopping the record 58-week streak from Rema and Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down,” which had led the list since Sept. 10, 2022. “Water” marks Tyla's first top spot on any Billboard chart.  The 21-year-old Johannesburg native debuted with her first music video: "Getting Late," featuring Kooldrink in 2021. CEOs Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone Promote H1GHR MUSIC 'SXSW' Showcase (UPDATE - New Promo Video)

For fans who get to go, they are in for what's looking to be a really great hip-hop show. On March 5, CEOs of H1GHR MUSIC, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, posted a flyer on their social media accounts, of their label's showcase at SXSW (South by Southwest).  The showcase is happening on March 17, at 8 p.m. at The Main on E. 6th St. in Austin, TX. The two music trailblazers will co-host the special event. The lineup includes artists Phe Reds, Jarv Dee, Avatar Darko, pH-1, Ted Park, Raz Simone, DJ Pumkin and DJ Rocryte. Junoflo (from Feel Ghood Music) is listed as a special performer for the H1GHR MUSIC showcase (and according to the flyer, Jay Park will also have a special performance during that event). DAVII Drops Eclectic New Album - "GENEZIS3"

South Korean musician DAVII dropped his fourth mini-album "GENEZIS3" on August 3rd. The project includes an eclectic infusion of jazz and hip-hop.  The six-track EP hit streaming sites with an official music video for the song "Flying" showing DAVII on keys with smooth vocals. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. CocoSori’s CoCo has released a sweet pop and alt-R&B track to cap off the summer season of love. "Sugar Cake" featuring rapper Microdot dropped on August 16 with an official music video, with romantic visuals on YouTube. The single is mostly in Korean, but has English subtitles. This is the second solo track for the artist. Her first solo single, " Wishy Washy " dropped in May 2017. With a mix of old school sounds and traditional jazz, hip-hop duo Infinite Flow (I.F) dropped their latest EP "Flow Forever" on May 12. The laid-back chill mini-album includes six tracks of new music and previous releases. You can find the EP on streaming sites, as well as on South Korean label BRANDNEW MUSIC's YouTube channel. The duo debuted in 2002. For their 2019 comeback, BIZNIZ and Nuck team up with the likes of VMC CEO Deepflow and neo-soul artist Horim.  A stand out on the EP is the song "OPENING CEREMONY," featuring rapper Verbal Jint, MC Meta, and AOMG's Loco. MMA fighter Seo Jinsoo drops a sexy rap video - "VOODOO" (feat. Duplex G)

South Korean mixed martial arts fighter Seo Jinsoo, has just thrown a knockout punch on the hip-hop scene with his debut single - "VOODOO" featuring Duplex G. The official music video for the track dropped on October 12. Instead of a fighting ring (or The Octagon), Seo Jinsoo hits the party scene on a slow tempo beat as he contemplates his lifestyle with alcohol over interactions with sexy women. Check it out above. Seo is receiving support for his video from global hip-hop/R&B star Jay Park, who has been working out with MMA fighters, and even signed fighter Chan Sung Jung to his AOMG label back in May.
