Rappers oygli, PUFF DAEHEE, Ugly Duck & Paloalto Team Up for "Around Here" Project

Helping to spotlight one of the 25 districts in Seoul, South Korea, rappers oygli, PUFF DAEHEE (from 8BallTown), Ugly Duck (from AOMG) and Paloalto (founder of Hi-Lite Records) have teamed up for a new song- "Around Here." The BRLLNT produced track hit streaming sites, with an official visual on February 20, as part of a project to revitalize the Yongsan-gu region. The music video was filmed in the Itaewon area of the district. Check it out below.

A lot of big names in the music industry were there, including the founder of Roc Nation, Jay-Z, and his beautiful wife Beyoncé. Also there, as part of the Roc Nation label, was musician Jay Park, and the co-CEO of one of his labels (H1GHR MUSIC), Cha Cha Malone. Fans of the four got to share in the moment, with pictures that were uploaded on social media. Jay Park posted photos on Instagram of his meeting with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Mural of Rapper Dumbfoundead Vandalized

The iconic mural of rapper Dumbfoundead painted on the side of Catalina Liquor in Koreatown in Los Angeles, has been vandalized-- that's according to a social media post from the artist. A picture of the vandalism, shows letters spray painted across it. On July 16th, Dumbfoundead thanked painter Joseph Yun Lee and Catalina Liquor on Instagram for "wanting to keep the mural up as long as they did." The mural was originally painted for the rapper's 2016 music video "Murals," a visual off his "We Might Die" album. Last year, he tweeted that he was getting a least one tagged photo a day from fans who had taken a picture in front of it. Dumbfoundead is now asking fans to send pictures or videos they had taken in front of the mural to muralsforever@gmail.com or tag him, so he can use the images in a video. CONCERT WATCH: Flowsik in Europe This Summer

After back to back collaborations with rapper/singer Jessi, Korean-American rapper Flowsik is hitting the road, and going on a mini-tour in Europe. The tour is presented by the kpop party crew, Young Bros, and kicks off June 1st in Amsterdam. Meanwhile his two releases with Korean-American star Jessi, are doing well. The feel good song "All I Need," dropped on March 31, and Flowsik and Jessi have promoted the track on Korean music shows. The second release, "Wet," dropped on April 4, and the sexy visual for it, has more than a million views on YouTube. A lot of people were first introduced to (Jay Pak) Flowsik with the release of the melodic quick flow of the "The Calling," and then with his part on "EUNG FREESTYLE," the viral rap track, he collaborated on with other heavy hitters such as LIVE, Sik-K, Punchnello and Owen Ovadoz. Former 'K-pop Star 5' Singer - Lexie Liu - Now Signed with 88rising

U.S. media company, 88rising, announced a new addition to their label on June 19, with a tweet that read, "Introducing Lexie Liu Boxin to the 88rising gang." The tweet included a link to Lexie Liu's new video, "Like A Mercedes," which dropped on the 88rising YouTube channel. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter from China, might be a familiar face for some kpop fans. According to media reports, in 2015, she participated in K-pop Star 5 , a South Korean competition show, where agencies hold auditions to find potential kpop stars. She came in fourth place, and was offered a deal with one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea, YG Entertainment, but she later declined. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. This one is for the dog lovers. Korean alternative soul singer, Colde, from offonoff, has released the music video for his first solo single "Your Dog Loves You," featuring R&B artist Crush. The actual track was released back on March 28. The song is about Colde's dog, Samna, from the dog's perspective. The track has a nice melody, and the visual will melt your heart. It includes images of not only Colde's dog, but other dogs (of different breeds) as well.
