Jackson Wang Drops New Self-Titled Song

Rapper Jackson Wang has returned with a new release. The GOT7 former JYP Entertainment artist from Hong Kong dropped his new self-titled single with an animated visual on January 11. Before the release, Wang tweeted "Who I am. What I wanna do. Everything about my life here in this song."

In the music video, we see an animated visual of Wang, as he walks mostly alone on a sidewalk and sings..."Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad. When you get to it, it ain't so sad." He then goes on to share his story, as he raps about leaving home at the age of 17, as a fencing champion, in 2011 to start a career in the music industry in South Korea as a KPOP entertainer. He also raps he was homesick after arriving in South Korea, but found a Chinese restaurant, where the owner comforted him.  

After the release of the single, Wang posted on Instagram....

"This is me. Jackson Wang 王嘉尔 I’ve always wanted a song 100% about me. No filter, not commercial, literally nothing in between. A song when I look back after 20+ years feeling like it was a good memory. Thank you guys for being with me."

Jackson Wang is now a solo artist based in China. He's the founder of the record label Team Wang, and his hip-hop supergroup - PANTHEPACK. Check out his new song below.

Jay Park Announces new H1GHR MUSIC Artist - Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty

During the second and final day of his 2019  Off Route Fest in South Korea, co-CEO/entertainer Jay Park announced the newest member of his second label- H1GHR MUSIC, as rapper/singer Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty. Park introduced the young artist on stage, on Oct. 6, in front of a crowd of thousands of people at the music festival, and later posted video of the moment to Instagram. According to Park, Donghyun is now the youngest member of the label (previously that title went to rapper Haon). Big Naughty was a contestant on season eight of the popular South Korean rap competition program - Show Me The Money (SMTM). He was eliminated in the semi-finals. New Music & MV: FANXY CHILD - "Y" featuring Zico, Crush, Dean, Penomeco, Millic & Staytuned

Perhaps one of the best known hip-hop and R&B crews in South Korea, members of FANXY CHILD have teamed up once again to drop a new single and visual titled "Y." The track hit streaming sites on August 9th featuring ZICO, CRUSH, DEAN, PENOMECO and producers MILLIC and STAYTUNED. Previously we've seen them collaborate on such hits and music videos like Millic's "Paradise" and Zico's "Fanxy Child" and "Bermuda Triangle." Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. Rapper Dumbfoundead in New Movie Co-Produced by Eminem

Hip-hop artist and battle rapper, Jonathan "Dumbfoundead" Park tweeted on Twitter on August 1, that he's in a new movie titled "Bodied." The film is directed by Joseph Kahn and co-produced by Eminem and Adi Shankar. It premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 7th. According to the festival's website, "Bodied" is a satirical battle rapper film ,  starring Anthony Michael Hall, Debra Wilson, and Calum Worthy with Dumbfoundead and fellow battle rapper Dizaster and others. NEW VIDEO: Jennifer Lopez & Bad Bunny drop hot new collab - "Te Guste" official MV

The official music video hit YouTube on November 8th, and as expected, Lopez looks good, as she shows off her toned body. The 49-year-old singer/actress had previously teased the Latin-trap R&B collaboration and visual. The song is entirely in Spanish, with the title translated to "You Like" in English. The "Jenny from the Block" star was born in 1969, in The Bronx borough of New York City, and has Puerto Rican parents. MOVES OF THE DAY: Super Junior's Wine Dance to the beat of "Lo Siento"

It was the Chilean wine that got them dancing out in an open field. On May 3, kpop group Super Junior uploaded a fun video to social media, of the guys moving to their new hit song "Lo Siento," with each member in the frame, dancing with a glass of wine in hand. The hashtag under the post says Chile. The idols were in Santiago, Chile on April 24, as part of the Latin America leg of their Super Show 7 world tour. The video of them dancing (perhaps a little tipsy too) has gone viral, with more than 200,000 likes on Instagram, and more than 273,000 views on Facebook, with more than 11,000 shares. Super Junior is under the Korean company S.M. Entertainment, and formed in 2005. The handsome men, now in their 30s, are well past the legal drinking age in any country.
