Jay Park Rocks Out With SURL On "Don't Say No"

Calling it an "unexpected collab," entertainment mogul Jay Park takes the mic to rock out with South Korean rock band SURL, for the band's new single "Don't Say No." The track includes a visual on YouTube (with subtitles) and it hit streaming sites on August 5, accompanied by a second song titled "Silence."

SURL debuted two years ago, in July 2018, and has taken home the first prize of the Shinhan Card Rookie Award. On their song "Don't Say No," we hear veteran artist Jay Park's smooth vocals, before a transition to a hip-hop rock jam session, with Park rapping, and a mesmerizing electric guitar riff. Rapper Dok2 talks about his personal life and South Korean hip-hop - in English ("Kill Bill") interview with Snacky Chan for "Undergod"

On the March 7th episode of ' Target: Billboard - Kill Bill,' legendary rapper Dok2 brought a number of notable Korean (and Korean-American) rappers out on stage with him to perform his latest song. The show ' Kill Bill' is an MBC hip-hop survival program which aims to put a South Korean hip-hop artist on the Billboard charts with a collaboration with DJ Khaled. Artists who hit the stage with Dok2 during this episode were Snacky Chan, Changmo, Double K, Deepflow, Los, Young B, Pyunny, Keem Hyo-Eun, Junoflo and Nucksal. After the show, Dok2 and Snacky Chan went backstage to record an interview for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." During their one on one, Dok2 compares hip-hop styles of trap and boom bap. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Tickets for Jay Park's "Serenades & Body Rolls" tour featuring LNGSHOT are going fast

Fans hoping to get a ticket to the second part of Jay Park's "Serenades & Body Rolls" tour featuring his new KPOP group LNGSHOT may be out of luck soon. Tickets are going fast. Park announced on June 9th he and his group would be hitting the stage in September and October. Tickets for the general public went on sale on Friday, June 12th, with many venues close to selling out seats near the main stage by Sunday, June 14th. Park first announced his "Serenades & Body Rolls" tour in February 2025, hitting cities in Asia. This time around, he and his new boy band will perform in the United States, Europe and South America, his first in the U.S. in seven years and the first in South America. Song of the Day: Jay Park - "Whenever"

Jay Park dropped his R&B single "Whenever" one year ago, on July 23, 2025. Crooning "call me whenever" in an English and Japanese version. The Japanese version includes a passionate live clip on YouTube from part one of his Serenades & Body Rolls tour last year in Japan. Since then, Park has announced part two for 2026 , which includes his More Vision South Korean boy band LNGSHOT. This second leg of the tour kicks off on September 3 in São Paulo, Brazil with stops in Mexico, North America and Europe. No word if he'll perform this song, but for now, Jay Park's "Whenever" is today's Song of the Day.

Rapper Jessi and Jay Park "Drip" with Swag in New Music & MV

Rapper Jessi is back with another single under P NATION (the South Korean record label founded by Psy). This time around, Jessi has global star Jay Park on the track and visual. Jessi released their collaboration - "Drip" on November 1st, and straight out the gate, she comes out swinging with swag, and singing, that she's not "going anywhere." AOMG Welcomes Sogumm to the Label after her "Signhere" win on MBN

South Korean label AOMG (founded by Jay Park), now has two female artists. AOMG welcomed Sogumm to the team on October 31, after the final episode of Signhere on MBN. The singer took home first place, on the competition show. Her total scores for her performance beating out Meloh, Maddox and MBA. Sogumm joins Hoody, and a crew of popular male artists, as the second woman signed to AOMG. Hoody became the first female artist to sign to the hip-hop and R&B record label back in 2015. NEW MUSIC: E SENS - "The Stranger"

South Korean rapper E SENS' latest project - "The Stranger," includes hard flow and beats on a 13-track full length album. He released the album on streaming sites on July 22. Formerly a member of the (disbanded) hip-hop duo Supreme Team (with Simon Dominic), the 32-year-old artist previously released a visual for one of his tracks off the project, "Son of A" ("그XX아들같이"), on July 4th. His new music features Masta Wu, Qim Isle and Kim Ximya. Check it out below.

Looking for a new summer jam? Check out DJ SHAUN's electric dance track, "Thinking Of" featuring rapper OVAN and singer SUMIN. The single is the title track off his first solo mini album, "TAKE." The vocal EDM artist is known for his skill with synthesizers, and is a member of the South Korean indie rock band, The KOXX (which formed in 2009). SHAUN's EP dropped on June 27, along with a music video for "Thinking Of (생각나)." The mv features two beautiful women enjoying themselves at the beach and elsewhere, and also includes OVAN on the mic. South African singer-songwriter Tyla is one of the hottest rising stars of 2023. Bruno Mars shares Behind the Scenes clip from the Making of "24K Magic"

Bruno Mars has shared a never before seen clip of the making of "24K Magic," the title track and lead single from his third studio album (of the same name). On June 27, the singer uploaded video on Twitter and Instagram, and wrote that he found it in his cell phone. The video shows producer Brody Brown and Mars trying to figure out the groove for "24k Magic" in 2015. According to Bruno Mars, they tried nearly 100 different patterns and pockets to finally land what we hear today (a Zapp & Roger inspired track).
