It's "Now or Never" for Coi Leray with New EP & MV for the track "Do Better"

Singer Coi Leray delivers a mixed bag of hip-hop, smooth melodies and island beats in her new EP "Now or Never." The project includes features from Gunna, Sevyn Streeter, Kiana Ledé and Fetty Wap. The mini-album dropped on August 14 with an official music video for her inspirational song "Do Better," which has her rapping about reaching for more in life, during a game of flag football. Jay Sean drops visual for new single "With You" ft. Gucci Mane & Asian Doll

British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters. The actual single hit streaming sites with Republic Records on March 8th, after a long break from the London artist. Check out his new MV below.

New Music & MV: FANXY CHILD - "Y" featuring Zico, Crush, Dean, Penomeco, Millic & Staytuned

Perhaps one of the best known hip-hop and R&B crews in South Korea, members of FANXY CHILD have teamed up once again to drop a new single and visual titled "Y." The track hit streaming sites on August 9th featuring ZICO, CRUSH, DEAN, PENOMECO and producers MILLIC and STAYTUNED. Previously we've seen them collaborate on such hits and music videos like Millic's "Paradise" and Zico's "Fanxy Child" and "Bermuda Triangle." FANXY CHILD will hold their first concert as a crew on August 10 and 11. Check out their new music below.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Has Jay Park come full circle with upcoming AOMG Audition Program "Sign Here" on MBN?

He has shared his story hundreds of times. CEO Jay Park got his start in the music industry after auditioning in Seattle as a teen to join JYP, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. According to online sources, after being accepted, Park trained in South Korea as part of a kpop group known as One Day. Part of the group's training was broadcast as a reality survival documentary show on MNET called Hot Blood . After the show, One Day was split into two separate groups-- 2AM and 2PM. Via fan votes, Park became the leader of 2PM. 2PM debuted with the song "10 Out of 10" in 2008. But by 2010, Park was officially out of the group, and back home in Seattle. R&B singer SOMA not holding back in new MV "Betty," off her first full-length album "SEIREN"

With explicit lyrics you normally don't hear from South Korean female artists, singer-songwriter SOMA shared her alt-R&B sultry track "Betty," with the release of an official music video for it on YouTube on March 2nd (EST). The song, in English and Korean, is off her first full-length album "SEIREN." Part A of the album dropped on streaming sites on March 3rd (KST). Part B releases on March 14. The new music is in celebration of SOMA's second anniversary of her debut EP "Somablu" with label Stoneship.

Rapper Jessi and Jay Park "Drip" with Swag in New Music & MV

Rapper Jessi is back with another single under P NATION (the South Korean record label founded by Psy). This time around, Jessi has global star Jay Park on the track and visual. AOMG Welcomes Sogumm to the Label after her "Signhere" win on MBN

South Korean label AOMG (founded by Jay Park), now has two female artists. AOMG welcomed Sogumm to the team on October 31, after the final episode of Signhere on MBN. The singer took home first place, on the competition show. Her total scores for her performance beating out Meloh, Maddox and MBA. Sogumm joins Hoody, and a crew of popular male artists, as the second woman signed to AOMG. Hoody became the first female artist to sign to the hip-hop and R&B record label back in 2015. A wild Battle of the Bands (Simmons College vs. Kentucky State) during this year's Roots and Heritage festival parade in Lexington

Bigger crowds for the 2024 Roots and Heritage Parade and Battle of the Bands in Lexington, Kentucky. The parade started earlier than usual, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, but still hundreds of people lined the streets to see local organizations along with Bryan Station High school, Central High School, Simmons College of Kentucky and Kentucky State University march down the road. The parade on Saturday began on Fourth Street and Elm Tree Lane, turned right onto ML King, right onto Fifth Street, right onto Race Street, right onto Third Street and ended on Elm Tree Lane The parade was followed by a wild and exciting Battle of the Bands and band performances. It was held outside the historic Lyric Theatre on East Third Street and Elm Tree Lane. The festival started with an African American marketplace on Friday and wrapped with a gospel celebration on Sunday. Check out the parade and bands below.

New Music Drop: Villain - "Bank Robber" EP and "Manitto" M/V

South Korean singer/rapper Villain, from Planetarium Records, has just released his first mini album titled "Bank Robber." With it, comes a visual for the hip-hop title track "Manitto." The K-music solo artist delivers lyrics in both Korean and English. The EP, he says was inspired by Will Smith's movie "Hancock." Check out his music video below.
