It's "Now or Never" for Coi Leray with New EP & MV for the track "Do Better"

Singer Coi Leray delivers a mixed bag of hip-hop, smooth melodies and island beats in her new EP "Now or Never." The project includes features from Gunna, Sevyn Streeter, Kiana Ledé and Fetty Wap. The mini-album dropped on August 14 with an official music video for her inspirational song "Do Better," which has her rapping about reaching for more in life, during a game of flag football. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13. New Music: A.CHAL - "Numb The Pain"

Peruvian-American singer A.CHAL (Alejandro Chal Salazar) is working through his emotions in his new single "Numb The Pain". The artist dropped his new song and the official music video for it on October 13. On social media A.CHAL says the visual was shot in Huanchaco, Trujillo, Peru. He says as a child he remembers living there on the sand in a small hut. The singer says the song itself was recorded in Paris. Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). South Korean rapper Coogie drops new single as contract with AOMG expires

South Korean artist Coogie dropped his new single "1,2,3,4,5" on January 23, 2025--the same day record label AOMG announced its exclusive contract with the rapper had come to an end. Coogie signed with AOMG in 2022. He was previously signed under hip-hop label ATMseoul. He became known for his sing-song melodic rap style after participating in the South Korean rap competition series Show Me The Money 777 in 2018. The translation to AOMG's post on X reads... New Music and Video Drop: Jay Park - "FSU" ft. GASHI & Rich The Kid

On the second single release, from his upcoming Roc Nation debut album, "Ask ‘Bout Me," hip-hop artist Jay Park spits, "I do R&B, but they want me to rap." The track, "FSU," along with the visual for it, dropped on July 6, and features rappers GASHI and Rich The Kid. The single was produced by Groovy Room -- a duo producer team from H1GHR MUSIC (where Park is co-CEO. He's also co-CEO of South Korean label AOMG). The music video for "FSU," directed by Jinooya Makes, has Park in the middle of a desert in the beginning, declaring his place on the U.S. music scene. Korean Hip-Hop or khip-hop, is hot right now. There are a lot of talented artists making some good music in South Korea at the moment. This is not kpop. This is music, from artists whose albums could play on urban radio, if they were promoting here in the United States. On July 8, 2017, INLet'sGo! got a chance to check out some of those who are making moves, and making people move. Hip-hop and R&B singers, rappers, and dancers hit two main stages at the NBA Buzzer Beat Festival at KBS Arena in Seoul, South Korea. Unfortunately, INLet'sGo! was not able to record all of the performances, but here's highlights from stage one, which includes Punchnello, OffOnOff, DPR Live, Dean, Bumzu, Horim, Niihwa, Suran, Heize and Jay Park.
