Peruvian born singer-rapper A.CHAL dropped his latest single "Nobody Like Me" in late February. The song, a mix of reggaeton and trap R&B.  He co-directed a hot music video for the track with director Chuck Owens. The visual, shot in New York, hit YouTube on March 5. Check it out below.

New Music On The Way: AOMG - Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray and Loco

A surprise announcement from hip-hop label AOMG.  On Saturday, April 14, the label (based in Korea) shared a post on Instagram with a silhouette image of four guys in a dark place that read "Here we got Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray and Loco shooting a music video. Please stay tuned for collaboration work from our artists." There were two pictures. One upright, and the other upside down.  To add to the AOMG announcement, rapper Loco posted on Instagram, an upside down picture of himself from a set with a caption that says Tuesday, May 1st. Producer/Singer/Rapper Gray has also posted a picture from a set on his Instagram that also reads Tuesday, May 1st. Based on a tweet from the fanbase Jay Park Network on Twitter,  the collaboration could be called "Turn It Over/Upside Down." Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Song of the Day: PREP - "Don't Look Back" feat. Shownu & So!YoON!

Ahead of their upcoming international tour, London band PREP, is dropping their third EP, Line by Line, on Friday, November 9th. As a pre-release, the band dropped the lead single from the project on October 25th, titled "Don't Look Back." On it, the London four piece are assisted by Shownu, lead singer from kpop group Monsta X, and by So!YoON!, of Korean indie band Se So Neon. Known for their butter-smooth productions, the musicians deliver woozy, after-hours groove on "Don't Look Back," with a smooth guest verse from Shownu along with So!YoON!'s classy guitar. The song is about the realization that you're not the only person in someone's life. Up and coming California-based rapper JMIN released his melodic track and visual titled "I Know Why" at the end of June. While the artist is still in the early stages of his music career, he is already receiving international attention after the release of the video for his song “Spaceship” on the 'No Jumper' YouTube channel last September. According to his online profile on GENIUS , JMIN (aka Jonathan Min), is 18-years-old, and moved to Los Angeles from Florida, in the 9th grade. Check out his music and video below.

New Video Drop: Jay Park & Yultron - "Forget About Tomorrow" [Official MV]

Jay Park in a red suit. The singer mixing sexy with traditional visuals, for the official music video for "Forget About Tomorrow." Fans first fell in love with the song back in December, when Jay Park and electronic artist/producer Yultron debuted it, during the season finale of 'Asia's Got Talent' (where Park had been a judge). Now the official music video is here. Dropping on Jay Park's YouTube channel , on Tuesday, January 30 (Korean Standard Time), and it is beautiful. Directed by Flipevil, it features a woman going for a jeweled mask, and Park and dancers in traditional styled clothing. The video is a work of art. B.I links up with Soulja Boy and DeVita in new song - "BTBT"

South Korean rapper and singer B.I dropped his new collaboration "BTBT," with American rapper Soulja Boy on May 13. His song featuring AOMG singer DeVita, is a pre-release off his upcoming album project "LOVE OR LOVED [L.O.L]." The single is a mixture of dance vibes with afrobeat backgrounds. The song title refers to a Korean phrase that means staggering.  B.I is a former member of Kpop group iKON, and he's now releasing music as a solo artist under his 131 Label, affiliated with IOK Music. On May 13, the rapper released a futuristic music video with the rollout for "BTBT." He has also announced a performance video with choreography by AITTY TOO for the single. That visual is due out on May 17 (or May 18 KST). 

New Hot Track - "AUTOMATIC" featuring CHANCELLOR, BABYLON, TWLV, MOON, BIBI & JISELLE

Another hot song from South Korea. The latest, six all-star singers on a melodic hip-hop track titled "AUTOMATIC." The single features CHANCELLOR, BABYLON, TWLV, MOON, BIBI and JISELLE. CHANCELLOR co-produced the song with DJ HOLLY. The new music hit streaming sites on October 14. Check it out below.

BTS To Perform at Billboard Music Awards

Back on American television. Kpop group BTS announced on April 24, that it will be performing at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. The show is May 20th on NBC. The group has been nominated for the Top Social Artist award. Last year BTS won the title, and attended the show. This year, according to Billboard, the members will perform with a world television premiere of a new single. Two days before, according to BTS, the members will release their new full album "Love Yourself: Tear" on May 18. Last year in November, BTS debuted on American television for a performance at the American Music Awards. The seven-member boy group also was on the "The Ellen Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and "The Late Late Show with James Corden." Rapper Dok2 talks about his personal life and South Korean hip-hop - in English ("Kill Bill") interview with Snacky Chan for "Undergod"

On the March 7th episode of ' Target: Billboard - Kill Bill,' legendary rapper Dok2 brought a number of notable Korean (and Korean-American) rappers out on stage with him to perform his latest song. The show ' Kill Bill'  is an MBC hip-hop survival program which aims to put a South Korean hip-hop artist on the Billboard charts with a collaboration with DJ Khaled. Artists who hit the stage with Dok2 during this episode were Snacky Chan, Changmo, Double K, Deepflow, Los, Young B, Pyunny, Keem Hyo-Eun, Junoflo and Nucksal. After the show, Dok2 and Snacky Chan went backstage to record an interview for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." During their one on one, Dok2 compares hip-hop styles of trap and boom bap. Singer G.Soul Discharged from the Military

The H1GHR MUSIC soulful artist enlisted in December of 2017, for his mandatory military service.  On social media, he posted that the army has been one of the "most challenging yet rewarding experiences" of his life. The singer also says he can't wait to let fans hear the "new music" that he's working on.
