Dancer Super Saiyan Sosho (Zaya Sosho), from The Future Kingz, and choreographer for Ayo & Teo, has just uploaded his freestyle to Twista's verse in "Do You," (by Do or Die). Sosho wrote on Instagram that he had always wanted to dance to something from Twista, and feels good about this moment. Check it Out...

Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos. U.S. soldiers evacuated her via "Operation Babylift" ... on the LAST flight out." Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

(Updated September 10) - Ruel has dropped the Behind The Scenes video for "Face To Face." On Sept. 10, he revealed that the actress portraying ECÂF in the music video and on Twitter, is named Tatiana. And the person who sings the vocals for her single release, "Pictures," is actually Ruel's sister Coco. Original Post (08/11/19) ... Global teen sensation Ruel shares a social media obsession in the visual for his new single - "Face To Face." The 16-year-old singer from Australia dropped the official music video for his song on August 8th. Fans have been looking for this since October of 2017 , when the hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC, first announced that they were going to have a 2018 North America Tour.  Thousands of people have been waiting patiently to hear more details about the concert stops for CEOs Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone and their H1GHR MUSIC artists. And after months of teasing, on March 3, Siva Group Entertainment reassured fans, by releasing the names of the cities for the much anticipated locations. Siva Group has worked with Jay Park before. The entertainment and tour management company handled the 2016 'Follow The Movement Tour' with AOMG (Jay Park's label with Simon Dominic). For 2018, according to Siva, H1GHR MUSIC will be rolling into the following cities this spring... Chicago, New York, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco and of course Seattle (Cha Cha's and Jay Park's hometown). This year was different: 2023 Lexington, KY Roots & Heritage Festival Parade, Band Performances & Fashion Show

Showcasing Kentucky's African American culture and traditions, the 2023 Lexington, KY Roots & Heritage Festival kicked off Friday night, September 8, with live performances on the main stage on Elm Tree Lane.  It continued Saturday morning with the annual parade and band performances. It included Simmons College (an HBCU) and Central High School marching bands from Louisville.  The "Battle of the Bands" after the parade was moved from the corner of Fourth street and Elm Tree Lane to Third Street and Elm Tree Lane, near the historic Lyric Theatre. New this year, a fashion show outside the theater. The show included pieces from up-and-coming local designers. The festival wrapped on Sunday, September 10. Thousands of people attended the weekend event.

Hot New Music: Jack Harlow - "First Class," Paulo Londra - "Chance" and ChaMane - "26"

Hip-hop is dominating the charts from around the world. During the week ending April 9, some hot new music hit streaming sites, including new hits from Louisville, KY rapper Jack Harlow, Argentine artist Paulo Londra and South Korean rapper ChaMane. Jack Harlow's banger "First Class" rolled out on streaming sites on April 8, with an official visualizer (that's currently trending on YouTube) just days after a preview of the song on social media with the artist in the studio went viral. The rapper samples Fergie’s 2006 hit “Glamorous” in "First Class." According to Chart Data, the new song has already topped the global Spotify chart and has earned the biggest chart debut of the year. "First Class" is a pre-release off Harlow's upcoming project- "Come Home The Kids Miss You," due out on May 6th. Could J-HOPE's "Hope World" Be The Best Mixtape of 2018?

by Nefertiti Jenkins BTS rapper J-Hope has dropped his first mixtape, and a music video ( "Daydream" ) to go with it.  The visual is currently trending in the top ten on YouTube. In less than twelve hours, it's gotten more than 9 million views. J-Hope is also currently trending on Twitter, and maybe it's because he's also a dancer... but the mixtape itself, with seven tracks (in Korean and some English) is worth dancing to.   Dropped on March 1 (or March 2, KST), "Hope World" gives BTS fans a side we don't always get to see from J-Hope. Known for being sweet and goofy, his lyrics go deep with some old school hip-hop beats, and could be on its way to being one of the best mixtapes of 2018.   This is the first solo album for J-Hope (fellow BTS rappers RM and Suga have each previously dropped mixtapes).  The tracks for "Hope World" take us up and down on a J-Hope vibe. Song of The Day: Dok2 - "1LLOGIC" (Feat. Chancellor)

On March 28, for his 28th birthday, Dok2 from Illionaire Records dropped two new tracks, "1LLOGIC" featuring R&B singer Chancellor, and "Straight Up" featuring DJ Wegun from AOMG and Keem Hyo-Eun (from Dok2's sub-label, Ambition). Both songs from the double release are really good.  The music is available now on Google Play, Spotify and iTunes. "1LLOGIC" is today's Song of The Day. It begins with vocals from Chancellor sounding like Usher.  Chancellor sings in English and Korean, and Dok2 gives us melodic rap, also in English and Korean. SONG of The Week: EXO - "Ya Ya Ya" - with a sample from SWV- “You’re the One”

It's that 90s sample that makes the song. On November 27, Kpop group EXO released their sixth album titled "OBSESSION." On it, the track "Ya Ya Ya," which samples American R&B trio-- SWV, and their 1996 hit-- “You’re the One.” The new song from EXO, "Ya Ya Ya," was co-produced by Dem Jointz, who’s previously worked with Dr. Dre, Anderson .Paak and ScHoolboy Q, according to Genius.com. The vocals on the song include the current six active members of the group... Sehun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai, Baekhyun, and Suho. And it's the loop of that SWV sample throughout the track, that makes you want to hear the song over and over again, after you first hit play. The repeat-- for the club, campus, home or car. The track--the best on the "OBSESSION" project; making it our SONG OF THE WEEK. Check it out below.
