Jay Park to drop new R&B album in October

Singer Jay Park has announced on social media his plans to release a new R&B album next month. The Seattle to Seoul artist says the project will be out on October 8th, his first in eight years. His previous R&B album "Everything You Wanted" dropped on October 20, 2016. On his recent social media post, Park also joked about deleting his Instagram Account and said there will be a tour in 2025. He deleted his previous IG account in 2022. A wild Battle of the Bands (Simmons College vs. Kentucky State) during this year's Roots and Heritage festival parade in Lexington

Bigger crowds for the 2024 Roots and Heritage Parade and Battle of the Bands in Lexington, Kentucky. The parade started earlier than usual, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, but still hundreds of people lined the streets to see local organizations along with Bryan Station High school, Central High School, Simmons College of Kentucky and Kentucky State University march down the road.   The parade on Saturday began on Fourth Street and Elm Tree Lane, turned right onto ML King, right onto Fifth Street, right onto Race Street, right onto Third Street and ended on Elm Tree Lane The parade was followed by a wild and exciting Battle of the Bands and band performances. It was held outside the historic Lyric Theatre on East Third Street and Elm Tree Lane.  The festival started with an African American marketplace on Friday and wrapped with a gospel celebration on Sunday.  Check out the parade and bands below.

West African artist Nketia representing Ghana with new music dropping soon

Following the release of his popular 2022 EP "Mr. Lover," Ghanaian musician Nketia is returning with all new music for his fans. The West African artist, producer and songwriter from Ghana says he's working on a new single and EP. No release date yet, but he's already looking for help in choreographing a dance for his new song. Nketia posted the request on Instagram just a week ago.  Nketia (pronounced in•ke•tia) is known for delivering a mix of R&B, Afrobeats, Hip-Hop and Drill. His forthcoming release is expected to be of a fast tempo Azonto-- a dance and music genre from Ghana. SZA to co-headline Jack Harlow's new Gazebo music festival in Louisville

Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow is once again going big, this time with the launch of a new music festival in his hometown of Louisville.  Harlow will co-headline his new two-day Gazebo Festival with grammy-award-winning singer SZA. A total of 26 acts on two stages are also a part of the lineup, including James Blake, Omar Apollo, PinkPantheress and Vince Staples. The event will also highlight Louisville's local food and culture. The festival will take place on May 25 and 26 at Louisville’s Waterfront Park on River Road. A Gazebo mobile app will be available in the app store closer to the festival dates. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to non-profit organizations through the Jack Harlow Foundation.
