After last year's pilot special episode, Yo! MTV Raps Asia returns on Monday, April 15 with the premiere of a full season on MTV Asia (based in Singapore). This year, expect performances by South Korean AOMG rapper Woo Won-jae and South Korean AOMG producer/singer/rapper GRAY, as well as a cypher line-up with Dough Boy, Al Rocco (from Shanghai, China.), YunB (from South Korean Hi-Lite Records) and Benzooloo. The show will also check in with Korean-American hip-hop artist/mogul Jay Park. Singaporean rapper Yung Raja and Vietnamese-American Los Angeles-based DJ-producer and model Kim Lee, will host the program for its first full season. "Hip-hop is all about 'the culture'," said Lee, "and I can't wait to be part of a show that will showcase the true expression of the Asian experience of hip-hop."  Former Asia Spotlight artist Yung Raja said, "I'm psyched to come back a second time to host the biggest, dopest hip-hop show in Asia," ...

In the latest drop from South Korean label Hi-Lite Records, artist YunB raps about being an "Alcoholic" due in part to addiction, and the influence of those around him. The melodic Yosi produced track featuring Bassagong, is one of two off YunB's double single release under the title song "Alcoholic." The second song is "Rebound Girl," produced by O.T.O. There are English subtitles on the somewhat trippy music video for "Alcoholic." Check it out below.

Quick flow, and tight beats, to wrap up 2018, and just in time for Christmas. South Korean Hi-Lite Records founder Paloalto dropped his "Yearend" project on Dec. 21. The EP includes features with rappers Qwala, YunB and Ugly Duck. Producers on the four track mini-album include Big Banana, Sway D, YunB and Unsinkable. Check out the Apple Music preview below.

 by Nefertiti Jenkins The men from the South Korean hip-hop label, Hi-Lite Records, have collaborated on a new fire track. It's called "Break Bread," and features Reddy, Sway D, Paloalto, YunB, G2, Huckleberry P and Camo Starr. The music video just dropped on Jan. 31, and it starts with Reddy as he gets out of a van, and checks out his reflection, in the vehicle's window. It then continues with his rap on a nice beat, as he heads on to the office, where the rest of the team picks up the flow, with a tour of Hi-Lite Records. The five minute and 35 seconds video, is simple, and features the rappers boasting. The video is good, but if some fans could add one thing to it, that would be to have subtitles in English.
