With his laid-back 90s rap flow and braggadocious lyrics, rapper The Quiett is one of the smoothest artists in hip-hop. He is also the co-founder, with rapper Dok2, of one of the most influential record companies in South Korea. Both are part of a group of legends responsible for putting South Korean hip-hop on the map. Their label - 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, was established in January 2011. They added rapper Beenzino later that year. In 2016, the two established a second label, of younger up-and-coming artists called Ambition Musik. The co-CEOs also toured the United States in 2016, and in 2017, putting on great high energy performances. INLet'sGo! caught their 2016 stop in Atlanta.  On November 11, 2020, The Quiett dropped his last double single under 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, marking the last 1LLIONAIRE DAY (of new music drops), and the final project for the company. Dok2 parted ways with the label in February, and in July, the company announced it was shutting down....

Singer Jhnovr is back with his trap R&B in a new EP release titled "Dirty Messiah." The WEDAPLUGG RECORDS artist from the South Korean crew Lowland, dropped his 4-track mini-album on June 11th. Check out the preview below.

Just a month after the release of her video "Mona Lisa," featuring Jito Mo, for Wedaplugg Records-- trap artist Lil Cherry and fellow artist Jitomo, are now both out from the label. We Da Plugg Records, run by South Korean rappers Giriboy and Swings, announced the departure on social media on Nov. 16. Artists who are still with the label are: Jhnovr, YUNHWAY and producer sAewoo. This is an announcement from We Da Plugg. Jitomo and Lil Cherry will no longer be a part of the label. Although we were disconcerted from the sudden news, both had reasons to leave and we send them in peace. Nevertheless, the agenda for We Da Plugg will not change. We sincerely thank our fans and supporters.

Her rap is melodic and her style is trap. Wedaplugg Records' artist Lil Cherry, is showing what she has to offer, in a new trippy visual for her sAewoo produced track "Mona Lisa," featuring Jito Mo. The single is from her July debut album "Sauce Talk." The "Mona Lisa" video hit YouTube on October 11, just hours after it was revealed within the South Korean hip-hop community (and fans of it) that the two men running the label she's signed to, are rappers Giriboy and Swings (Swings is also over Just Music Entertainment and Indigo Music). Their artists, in addition to Lil Cherry, are Jito Mo, Jhnovr,  YUNHWAY and producer sAewoo. They have been uploading their work to the WEDAPLUGG YouTube channel for the past ten months. The Korean title "조금만 더" translates to "Little Bit More" on Google, and we hear the Lowland crew member croon with raw emotions, the question in English, "How do you feel about me?" Singer/rapper Jhnovr from Wedaplugg Records has dropped a new chill mid-tempo track called "Light Up" featuring Playoungstic (on guitar).
